S J65 H AKQJT9643 D 5 C VOID Is it legal to open this with a Benji 2C or should it be opened 4H?

David Stevenson's Answer

It is not legal to open 2C. The rule for a strong opening is: ‘At least 16 HCP, or 13 HCP concentrated in two suits containing 10+ cards.’ Since this has only 11 points it does not qualify. For advice on what to open you could Ask Julian, though I personally would open 1H.
