This week's Teams game was discussing whether 4S should make, as opposed to could. After yet more thought, I think that it should, and I misplayed it... My line involved trying to ruff out AK of Hearts in three rounds, or finding the Ace of Clubs in the South hand or finding the Queen of Clubs in the North hand. I make that nearly 80%. I thought at the time that I couldn't risk trying to eliminate the red suits and endplay North with the fourth Heart, in case he had another Diamond to return. If so, I would no longer have the entries to lead up to the Club hours twice.. However... After HA, Diamond switch to my Ace and SA dropping your singleton Queen, I have two more guaranteed entries to dummy in trumps, which I didn't make full use of. I should lead my remaining Heart, which Pete correctly ducks, and then ruff the third Heart back to hand. It now costs nothing to play a second Diamond to dummy's King and ruff the third Diamond high. When North shows out, it becomes simple. Draw trumps ending in dummy and...
