Vulnerable against not I do not like a 3H bid – too many jacks – it also has too much playing strength for a weak two – you could easily miss a game. I think it is a choice between 1H and Pass. On the actual board, opening with a pre-emptive bid happens to work quite well – probably winning the auction, whilst opening low, will allow South to overcall 1S and they can jump to 3S leaving us with a problem!
